The area is especially recognized for scenic viewpoints, trekking routes, and access to natural attractions such as Munduk Waterfall, Melanting Waterfall, and the Twin Lakes region near Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan. Because Munduk is not a mainstream villa market like Canggu or Ubud, sales opportunities tend to be limited and highly location-sensitive. Buyers should pay close attention to road access, slope stability, water supply, and building logistics, as hillside plots can vary significantly in usability. For foreign buyers, the usual Indonesian ownership rules still apply: freehold is generally reserved for Indonesian nationals, while leasehold or corporate structures such as HGB may be more practical depending on the transaction and legal advice.
